Varalakshmi Vratam

Varalakshmi vratam pooja is performed for goddess lakshmi, Varalakshmi is one who grants Boons ( In telugu Varam ). Many hindu women perform varalakshmi pooja in south indian states of india . Varalakshmi vratam is celebrated in the month of sravana on the second Friday or the Friday before full moon day . This pooja is celebrated mainly in the month of july or August.

Varalakshmi pooja is performed by married women for the well deing of all family members. It is a belif that worshiping goddess varalakshmi o this day is equivalent to worshiping Ashtalakshmi  ( The 8 goddess of wealth, learning, earth, lovee,fame, peace, pleasure and strength.
