Mantralayam is th one of the most important pilgrimage center in South India. Matralayam is the original samadhi of the great Vaishnava saint Sri Raghavendra.

Mantralayam is located in kurnool district, Andhra Pradesh. It is the famous temple of Sri Raghavendra Swamy.

Mantralaya Sri Raghavendra Swamy is known as Guru Rayaru or as Rayaru. He is a saint philosopher who blesses all his devotees.
Raghavendra Swamy was a Hindu scholar, theologian and saint. Raghavendra was born as Venkatanatha in the Bhuvanagiri town, Tamil Nadu in the family of musicians and scholars.

Raghavendra diverse oeuvre include commentaries on the works of Madhva, Jayatirtha and Vyasatirtha, interpretation of the Principal Upanishads from the standpoint of Dvaita and a treatise on Purva Mimamsa.

Raghavendra served as the pontiff of the Madhvacharya Mutt at Kumbakonam from 1624 to 1671. He was an accomplished player of the Veena and he composed several songs in the name of Venu Gopala. His tomb at Mantralayam or Brindavana attracts thousands of visitors every year.

In Mantralayam Aradhana is very popular and most of the devotees reach Mantralayam at the time of Aradhana. The Mantralayam Temple also serves free meals as Prasadam to all devotees visiting Mantralayam
