Curd Rice Recipe


Ingredients for preparation of Daddojanam :

Rice 2 cup
Water 3 cups
Curd 2 cup
Milk 1/2 cup
Green chillies 3 to 4 Green Chillies ( finely chopped)
Ginger 2 tea spoon (finely chopped)
Mustard Seeds 1 tea spoon
Chana Dal 1 tea spoon
Urad Dal 1 tea spoon
Curry Leaves 2 String
Hing a pinch of
Oil 4 tea spoons
Dried red chillies 4
Salt To taste

Cook the rinsed rice with 3 cups of water for 4 whistles.

Lightly mash the cooked rice and add milk when the rice is warm and mix well. Let it cool down.

Add the curd and salt to the rice and mix well, add little more curd or water to get the desired consistency.

Heat oil in a pan, add the mustard seeds, chana dal and urad dal and let them splutter. Add the red chilli, green chillies, ginger, and hing and fry for a few seconds.

Mix this seasoning to the curd rice and mix well.

Garnish with pomegranate seeds and serve.
