All these 3 traditions of astrology share the same fundamental idea of twelve zodiac signs with the signs divided into four basic types, it is possible to match all these twelve signs across the traditions and despite differences basic similarity can be seen in their characteristics.
We can see in the Astrology table given below the twelve signs and their sub-division into four categories as they correspond across the three traditions:
But in the table shown below the Chinese zodiac traditionally begins with the Rat despite the appearance of the Dragon in the first place in the table. Numbers are given to indicate this. |
