Nagaland is a hill state located in the far north-eastern part of India. It borders the state of Assam to the west, Arunachal Pradesh and part of Assam to the north, Burma to the east and Manipur to the south. The state capital is Kohima, and the largest city is Dimapur.

Dimapur: Dimapur is the main commercial hub and one of the three municipalities in the state of Nagaland, India, the other two being Kohima and Mokokchung. The name Dimapur comes from the Kachari dialect.
Kohima: Kohima is the hilly capital of India’s north eastern border state of Nagaland which shares its borders with Burma. It lies in Kohima District and is also one of the three Nagaland towns with Municipal council status along with Dimapur and Mokokchung.
Dzukou Valley:The Dzukou valley is at a distance of 25 km from Kohima. The Dzukou Valley is one of the most ideal places for peace and nature lovers. The Dzukou is the capital city of Nagaland. The swirling streams that loiters through Dzukou freezes during extreme winter.
The staple food of the Naga tribes is rice. It is generally taken with meat or
vegetables. The Nagas are very fond of chillies and the Semas eat them with the greatest delight. Meat could be beef, pork and chicken. The native population of Naga tribes loves to add spices and chilies in their daily diet. The intestines and skins of the animals are considered to be a delicious dish among the native population of the state. Meat and vegetables are usually cooked together. The food is generally boiled.
Women are not allowed to eat monkeys lest they became extravagant. Pregnant woman was not allowed to eat a bear, as it is regarded as a stupid animal. Dal and Eggs is a dish which is prepared with combining the three dals. The dal is prepared and after that the prepared eggs are put into it. Fish Fried Rice is a non vegetarian food which is prepared from the fish. It is served while after preparing the rice the cooked fish is arranged in the plates.
Nagaland people have a rich tradition of art and crafts, which make for wonderful shopping in Nagaland. It is the forest products like wood, cane bamboo that serve as raw materials for the handicrafts they fashion out in their leisure times. They use natural dyes and beads and shells to embellish the artifacts, which turn out to be fantastic items for shopping in Nagaland. They lent their skills to produce items of common utility, as well those with ritualistic and artistic value.
