The Andaman & Nicobar Islands is a Union Territory of India located in the Indian Ocean. The territory comprises two island groups, the Andaman Islands and the Nicobar Islands. Havelock Island is the largest of the islands which comprise Ritchie’s Archipelago, a chain of islands to the east of Great Andaman in the Andaman Islands. Havelock is situated 57 km North East of Capital City Port Blair. The island is named after Henry Havelock, a British general active in India.
The Cellular Jail situated in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands was completed in 1906. The prison was known to house many notable Indian activists during the struggle for India’s independence. The Cellular Jail is one of the murkiest chapters in the history of the colonial rule in India.

The Marine Museum, Fisheries Museum and Anthropological Museum, are the three of the main museums that is witness to a major influx of tourists and visitors. They are believed to be expert cooks and continuously experiment with their dishes. Even though it is known for great meat, Jarawas still don’t hunt it. The availability of food and the difficulty of catching it decide the value of the food. That is why fruits and vegetables, roots and nuts are considered the lowest in the food chain.
