Karthika Masam is the most auspicious month among Hindus. Bathing in rivers in Karthika Masam is not only considered holy but also has significant scientific and medical benefits.

Why is Lord Shiva worshipped in Karthika Masam?

Karthika Masam is the holiest month to please Lord Shiva and to do penance for all the sins committed. It is believed that the Tripura Asuras were killed by Lord Shiva and the world was saved. This happened on the day of the Karthika Purnima.

What happens if we eat non veg in karthika masam?

The performance of digestive system acts weak during rainy season and stomach takes two to three days more to digest non-vegetarian food than vegetarian food. Hence, late digestion is not good for people’s health. Therefore, avoid non-vegetarian food during Karthika month to keep yourself healthy.
