Bhog offered to nine forms of Goddess Durga Matha

Dussera Navrathri festival celebrated in India with many varieties of delicious recipes offered as Bhog (Prasadam) to goddess Durga Matha while worshipping her during Navrathri festival which continues for nine days. During Dussera Navrathri festival Goddesses Parvati, Lakshami and Saraswati are worshipped as each one for three days.

As Goddess Durga Matha has nine incarnations called as Navdurga. are worshipped during Navrathri in each form for nine days. So each deity has special Bhog offered to them on these nine days as it is considered as incomplete pooja for Hindus without offering Bhog to the goddesses. The nine days of Durga Matha is considered the most auspicious days of the year.

Each deity is worshipped on different day as the first form of Goddess Durga as:
Shailputri Matha is worshipped on Pratipada

Bahmacharini Matha is worshipped on Dwitiya

Chandarghanta Matha is worshipped on Tritiya

Kushmanda Matha is worshipped on Chaturthi

Skand Mata is worshipped on Panchami

Katyayani Matha is worshipped on Shashthi

Kaalratri Matha is worshipped on Saptami

Mahagauri Matha is worshipped on Ashtami dayand  

Siddhidatri Matha is worshipped on Navami  

Different varieties of Bhog is offered to the nine form of Goddesses during Navratri festival are:

Shailputri Matha Bhog offered:

On the first day of Dussera Navrathri festival goddess Shailputri Matha is worshiped on the day of Pratipada. Shailputri Matha is a daughter of Himavan king of Himalaya is offered with pure Ghee on the foot of deity as Bhog and the devotee takes the blessings for disease free life.

Brahmacharini Matha Bhog offered:

Brahmacharini Matha, the second form of Goddess Durga is worshipped on the second day of Dussera Navrathri festival on the day of Dwitiya. Goddess Durga was named as Brahmacharini, when she was the daughter of Himalaya with the name of Parvati did vigours meditation for Lord Shiva to get married to gods of god. Brahmacharini Matha was offered with sugar as Bhog with her blessings for increase of longevity of the family members.

Chandraghanta Matha Bhog offered:

On the third day of Dussera Navrathri festival Chandraghanta Matha is worshipped on the day of Tritiya Tithi. Deity Chandraghanta Matha has crescent moon on her forehead in bell shaped. Chandraghanta Matha is offered sweets prepared with milk as Bhog seeking her blessings to fulfill their wishes gets rid of all the worldly pains.

Kushmanda Matha Bhog offered:

Goddess Durga matha is worshipped as Kushmanda on the fourth day of Dussera Navrathri festival as her fourth incarnation. Deity Kushmanda Matha is the creator of universe. People worship Kushmanda Matha by offering her Malpua Bhog and take her blessings of intellectual ability.

Devi Skandmata Bhog offered:

The fifth day of Dussera Navrathri festival Devi Skandmata the fifth incarnation of goddess Durga is worshipped on the day of Panchami. is Devi Skandmata the mother of Lord Kartikeya calles as lord Skanda who is the chief of gods. Devi Skandmata is offered Banana as Bhog by devotees who seek their wishes get fulfilled by her.

Katyayani Matha Bhog Offered:

Goddess Durga Matha with her sixth form as Katyayani Matha is worshipped on the sixth day of Dussera Navrathri festival on the day of Shashthi. With the wish of sage Katyayan goddess Durga took birth as the daughter of Sage Katyayan so she named as Katyayani. Deity Katyayani Matha is offered with Honey as Bhog.

Kaalratri Matha Bhog offered:

Kaalratri Matha the seventh incarnation of Goddess Durga is worshipped the seventh day of Dussera Navrathri festival on the day of saptami. Deity Kaalratri Matha symbolizes as vanishing of all the evil powers. Jaggery is offered as Bhog to Kaalratri Matha.

MahaGauri Matha Bhog Offered:

The day of Ashtami, the eighth day goddess Durga in her eight form as  MahaGauri is worshipped. Deity MahaGauri has a fair complexion and is offered Coconut as Bhog along with the donation of coconut to the Bhramins. Devotees worshipping deity MahaGauri gets success in their work by fulfilling the wishes of childless couples with child.

Siddhidatri Matha Bhog Offered:

Siddhidatri Matha, the ninth form of Goddess Durga is worshipped on the ninth day of Dussera Navrathri festival on the day of Navami. Siddhidatri Matha is offered Til as Bhog. Siddhidatri Matha relieves her devotees from the fear of death and prevents from any unlikely incident.
