Hindu temples in China
Hinduism is a minor religion in The People’s Republic of China. Hinduism has never gained much popularity, unlike the beliefs of Buddhism and Confucianism. Hinduism in China faced more obstacles during the rise of Communism in China. There was a small Hindu community in China, mostly situated in southeastern China. It is one of the grandest Hindu temples in the capital and has been built with a lot of thought and precision. An architectural marvel, the Akshardham temple is the cynosure of all eyes.
Sri Mariamman Temple, the oldest Hindu temple in China. Originally constructed by Indian businessman Naraina Pillai, the temple is as old as Singapore itself. It is a National Monument of Singapore and a major tourist attraction. the temple features an outstanding five-tiered gopuram (tower) decorated with ornate sculptures of Hindu deities.
