There are so many festivals like,sankranthi, vinayaka chaturdi, dussera diwali, ,guru purnima,siva rathri,sri rama navami,Krishnastami,hanumajayanti,navarathri.ugadi festival,karthika purnima,vaikunta ekadasi festival,naga panchami festival,varalakshmi festival. All these festivals are celebrated in east,noth,south and west India. Festival diwali is now considered as national festival .

SANKRANTHI FESTIVAL: 

Festival sankranthi also called pongal,meaning of festival sankranthi is good movement. This festival takes place when sun moves from dakshanayana, to uttarayanam.thousands of people dip in places like Ganga sagar & praya and pray to lord sun. The Puranas say that on this festival sankranthi Sun visits the house of his son Shani, who is the swami of Makar Rashi. The other story of festival sankranthi says that Lord Vishnu ended the ever increasing terrorism of the Asuras by finishing them off and burying their heads under the Mandar Parvat.                                                                                                                               More….>>

 

DIWALI FESTIVAL :

Diwali festival also called deepawali in India ,tihar and swanthi in Nepal an important festival in Hinduism, sikkism & Jainism.festival diwali named as ‘festival of light’. On occasion of Diwali festival day everyone prays goddess lakshmi.On this day lord Krishna defeated narakasur & also rama after 14 years home coming day. VINAYAKA CHATURDI FESTIVAL:

Festival vinayaka Chaturthi or the birthday of Ganesha (God of Wisdom and Prosperity) is celebrated in the month of august-September. Vinayaka chaturdi is also called as ganesh chaturdi. 

This festival is celebrated all across India and is the biggest festival in states like Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra. On this festival every Hindu will pray to lord Ganesh. Vinayaka chathurdi festival is celebrated for eleven days, most important are the last days of this occasion when the idols of Lord Ganesha is immersed in the sea on this festival. More….>>
